Lightrail today in Phoenix Metro: sleek and clean

Tempe Lightrail stop

Tempe Lightrail stop

The new lightrail in the Pheonix-Tempe-Mesa Metro area is new-sleek, futuristic with clean lines.  ‘She’s a pretty ship”, commented an old-timer to himself. So correct.

This pic was captured on May 29th in Tempe at 10 pm. This train, like all lightrail on these tracks, glided into the station with a ‘whoosh’, not the old-fashioned clickety-clack of prior years. Welded tracks now make the ride smooth and comfortable. Travelers jumped on board quickly and sat down, anticipating the fast departure. They were not disappointed. The train left within seconds like a thief in the night and was gone.

Just how does one take advantage of the gigantic $1.4 billion investment in time and money? By looking at how other lightrail cities have flourished or wilted within the lightrail corridor. The Light Rail Chamber is focused on growth and development within the corridor. The Chamber is your strong ally.
